Steve has the appearance of a healthy, athletic male in his early 20s, with blond hair and blue eyes, thanks to Operation: Rebirth. Although he is 89, he definitely doesn't look it.

Standing at 6'2", Steven is approximately 200 pounds, almost pure muscle.

He is direct, honest, and passionate, and he has taken the news of his suspended animation as well as any might expect. Reconciling that all those he knew and loved are now dead, he does what he has always done... move forward, chin out, stiff upper lip.

Steven is the type of man that will right any wrong he witnesses,or at least he'll try. He's protective of those he loves, to the point where he'll kick some serious butt if they're in danger.

To make a new life for himself, and continue to defend all that is good and noble in this country that barely resembles the USA that he knew.

CHARISMATIC - The Captain just seems to have that special magnetic charm or appeal about him. There is something about Captain America that people just can't seem to resist. He has a presence and personal magnetism that enables him to bring out the best in others.

CONVICTION - He possesses great belief in himself, what he is doing, what he stands for. Steve is able to stand up to the forces of evil and temptation better than most.

DISCIPLINED - Captain America is a disciplined man, both mentally and physically. This allows him to keep his mind sharp and his body in peak physical condition. As well as allowing him to rely more on his instincts even in the heat of the moment.

HARD TO KILL - Simply put, the Captain is incredibly difficult to kill. He's survived a nuclear warhead, the frozen Arctic, and modern pop music.

HEROIC - There is just something very imposing or impressive about Captain America that makes him surpass the ordinary; whether, it is showing extreme courage or bravery, or saving someone's life. This even extends to not killing an enemy unless ABSOLUTELY necessary

LEADERSHIP - Steve has the respect of all other team members to the extent that these members rely on him to lead them, be it in battle or generally in times or pursuit or crisis. Captain America therefore has bucket loads of logical thinking, strategy and charisma.

SUPER-SOLDIER SERUM - Rogers has no superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super-Soldier serum, he was transformed from a frail young man into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. Rogers was as intelligent, strong, fast, agile, and durable as it was possible for a human being to be without being considered superhuman.

* Peak Human Strength: Rogers' physical strength is enhanced to the very peak of human potential. As a result, Rogers is as physically strong as a human being can be without being classified as superhuman. Captain America had been seen bench pressing 500 kg (1,100 lbs) which was consistent with his strength level, as benching was easier than military press lifting.

* Peak Human Speed: He can run at speeds of up to approximately 30 miles per hour, and has on occasion run a mile in little over a minute (almost 60 mph) when under duress. In other appearances Steve has impressed Quicksilver with his speed. Daredevil himself also noted that Steve was much faster then him.

* Peak Human Stamina: His body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him exceptional endurance. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours without rest before showing any signs of fatigue.

* Peak Human Agility: Rogers' agility is superior to that of typical Olympic athletes.

* Peak Human Reflexes: Rogers' reflexes are superior to that of typical Olympic athletes. Like most of his powers, his reflexes border on superhuman levels as he has dodged a bullet fired at point blank range claiming that he "could see faster than it."

* Peak Human Durability: Rogers' ability to withstand injury is superior to those of ordinary humans. This explained how he has survived the physical punishment endured throughout his career, such as building falls and explosions.

* Peak Human Metabolism: His enhanced metabolism, bloodstream, and immune system allows him to heal from injuries or diseases faster than most humans. Captain America is still subject to all conventional human ailments, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities, though his immunity to most diseases is quite extraordinary. Rogers has stated he cannot become drunk and has never been sick after receiving the Super-Soldier serum.

* Peak Human Mental Process: Rogers' mental performance has been greatly enhanced, allowing his mind to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible. One manifestation of this is his tactical genius; the ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations. Rogers also possesses a near-eidetic memory, meaning that he never forgets anything and has perfect recall. This enables him to remember any military tactic and apply it to any situation.

* Peak Human Perception: Rogers has exceptionally keen eyesight and hearing. Captain America once stated that he was able to dodge bullets because he "sees faster than them".

* Peak Human Aging: Another noted side effect is the longevity Steve gets with living much longer then normal humans. Sersi, an Eternal, noted that he, like her, would be ever youthful.

ATHLETICS - He engages in a daily regimen of rigorous exercise (including aerobics, weight lifting, gymnastics, and simulated combat) to keep himself in peek condition.

COMBAT MASTERY - Captain America has mastered the martial art of American-style boxing and judo, and has combined these disciplines with his own unique hand-to-hand style of combat. Captain America is one of the finest human combatants Earth has ever known.

MILITARY - Understanding of the armed services. Cap may reduce the difficulty to lead troops or understand a military commander's strategies.

TACTICS - Steve is a gifted combat strategist.

CHIVALROUS - Captain America must right any wrongs he witnesses, correct social injustice, keep any oaths of loyalty he swears, and honor all deals and obligations he accepts. He must honor good people. This disadvantage can even include a vow of poverty.

CULTURAL SNOB - Steve despises pop culture, and doesn't relate well to people that enjoy it.

MORAL CODE - No matter what, Steve will not kill or more importantly, allow someone else to kill or be killed by there actions or lack there of regardless of the situation or mitigating circumstances. Likewise, and to a lesser degree, he will not permit others to be harmed and try to minimize property damage where possible. Saving lives takes precedence over all, even over catching the bad guys. Needless to say there are times when this code causes problems.

Captain America's uniform is made of a fire-retardant material, and he wears a lightweight, bulletproof "duralumin" scale armor beneath his uniform for added protection.

Captain America's only weapon is his shield, a concave disk 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds. It is made of a unique Vibranium-Adamantium alloy that has never been duplicated. The Shield was cast by Tony Stark of Stark Industries, who had been attempting to create an impenetrable substance. The shield was awarded to Captain America by SHIELD several months after he was released from his suspended animation.

The shield has great aerodynamic properties: it is able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enables it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It is virtually indestructible: it is resistant to penetration, temperature extremes, and the entire electromagnetic spectrum of radiation. The only way it can be damaged in any way is by tampering with its molecular bonding.

AVENGERS IDENTICARD - State-of-the-art tech at its finest. These credit card-sized gadgets act not only as identification for all Avengers (active and reserve), but also as communicators and tracking devices. Designed and manufactured by Stark Enterprises, the Avengers Identicards have proven to be a valuable resource in the field. Each card has a flat-screen monitor to send and receive audio and video data. The Identicard can beep like a pager, communicate like a videophone, and record like a mini-recorder; it also has a virtually global range with satellite uplink. As a tracking device, it can be used to locate an Avenger via his or her card's unique signal. In addition, it can act as a small computer with a numerical access pad. All by itself, this makes it an overpowered calculator, but with appropriate access codes, it can contact Avengers computers, which can then be operated with voice commands. The Identicard also acts as an ignition key for Avengers vehicles and as a key to Avengers bases. The cards are waterproof and are resistant to pressure.
