Kitty has a slender, delicate dancer's build and is undeniably "cute". She tends to wear her hair up in a ponytail, and to favor the color pink. She is your typical American high school girl, upbeat and spunky. Kitty usually runs around in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt with some sort of smart aleck-ey comment on it. She's never been one of those girls that is super fashion conscious, so if it is clean and comfortable, it is probably in her closet - unless someone else picked it out for her, that is. Kitty is almost never seen without her laptop or iPad bag slung over her shoulder, as its practically become an extension of herself.

Kitty is usually very easy going and enjoys life to the fullest. She easily befriends people and is almost rabidly loyal to her friends. While she enjoys a multitude of things (including people), Kitty is a serious little bookworm and can fall away for hours in a book, in a computer or creating something electronic. Sometimes her wealth of knowledge makes her sound geeky, especially if she gets onto a topic she really enjoys.

Kitty's goal is be as amazing with machines as Tony Stark and maybe work at Stark Enterprises. She also wants to be the best she can be with her powers.

CUTE - Shadowcat is one of those girls who is cute. She's spunky and fresh faced. People often feel comfortable coming to Kitty with their questions or problems.

CURIOSITY - Shadowcat has an incredible curiosity that often overrides her common sense, and often gets her into all sorts of trouble; however, she is more often than not praised for finding out something critical.

LIGHTNING CALCULATOR - Anything that relates to numbers, regardless of whether its multiplication, subtraction, percentage or standardization, Kitty knows how to do it and can do it with unflappable accuracy and at a fast pace. Kitty is also good at analyzing, solving, and making codes and other puzzles.

MECHANICAL APTITUDE - Whether it be cars, aero-jets, computers or children's toys, Shadowcat has the ability to look past their exterior to see how they work, and is therefore a useful person to have around when appliances or engines aren't working or have packed in altogether.

QUICK LEARNER - She's smart and is able to pick up things easily and quickly. This could be anything from new ideas and skills, to hacking tricks. In some cases the learning of these skills can take mere minutes or hours - she could even learn entire fields of study in matters of weeks.

PHASING - Shadowcat possesses the ability to pass through solid matter by passing her atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she is moving. In this way she and the object through which she is passing can temporarily merge without interacting, and each is unharmed when Shadowcat finishes passing through the object. This process is called "phasing". When Shadowcat is phasing, she is, for all intents and purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, she can shift into a "phased" state (even if she is not at the time passing through an object) so as to allow oncoming projectiles or energy blasts to pass through her harmlessly. Shadowcat passes through objects at the same rate of speed at which she was moving before she "enters" it. She trained herself to go automatically, by reflex, into a phased state at any indication of danger, such as a loud noise like a gunshot, in order to protect herself.

* Air Walking - Using her phasing ability, Shadowcat can walk on air. In fact, while she is intangible, she can use her ability to walk on the air from the ground, upward, as if she were climbing a staircase. Kitty passes through objects at the same rate of speed at which she is moving before phasing. Since she is unable to breathe while phasing through a solid object, she can only phase through solid objects for as long as she can hold her breath.

* Phasing Extension - From the first use of her phasing power, Shadowcat has been able to phase her clothing along with herself. Through practice she learned to phase other objects along with herself without harm to them. She can also enable others to "walk on air" along with her. However, she has to maintain physical contact with the people or objects she phases along with herself for the effect to work with this other person or object. Currently, she is able to phase other people up to around four times her own body mass, along with phasing herself - so long as physical contact is established and maintained. She can extend her phasing effect to her own clothing or any other non-living thing with mass up to that of a small truck, as long as she remains in contact with it. She has threatened to leave people phased into a wall, although the idea of what that might do to someone terrifies Kitty, and she will likely only ever try such in the most dire of circumstances.

* Electrical Disruption - She can phase through any material object, even living people. When she phases through an object with an electrical system, the process disrupts the system's workings.

* Telepathic Resistance - Her thoughts are highly erratic when phased, as if there was no mind there to telepathically affect.

COMPUTERS (General) - Shadowcat can program, design, hack, build, or crack computer-run equipment. She has advanced skills in all aspects with an emphasis in coding and hacking.

DANCE - Kitty used to take ballet, tap and jazz dance classes, ever since she was quite young. She could have gone pro, had she not dropped her lessons in favor of learning more about her powers. She is quite graceful and agile due to her training.

PHYSICS - The science of physical laws. Shadowcat understands basic spatial geometry, flight, light and sound, and the motions of planets and stars. It's one of her favorite subjects to study, second only to all things computer-related.

RESEARCH - Being the bookworm that she is, Shadowcat actually enjoys studying and research, looking things up.

SKATING - Having grown up in the Midwest and dealing with Winter every year, Kitty has learned to ice skate quite well.

MORTAL - Shadowcat is human, which means she she can bleed, be hurt, get sick, and God forbid, even die.

KOSHER - Due to Shadowcat's Jewish heritage, she (usually) only abides by kosher foods. She will only eat the occasional pig product, or lobster or crab, however, she just makes sure not to tell her parents! Even though she's grown, Kitty knows that they wouldn't approve.

MORAL CODE - Shadowcat lives by a personal moral code. With her faith, she will not kill someone unless it is strictly a self defense reason. If needed, she will hurt someone and take them down to disable them, but she will not kill them unless her own life is in danger.

PHASING LIMITATIONS - Since she is unable to breathe while "inside" an object, she can only continuously phase through solid objects as long as she can hold her breath. Denser materials are more difficult for Kitty to phase through, and can sometimes cause her pain. Solidifying while in an object could cause serious injury, if not death.

Her uniform has a small pocket on her belt to keep her iPhone and her iPod.
